Mortal Kombat 5 on Electronic Gaming Monthly
Edited on Tuesday, September 25 2001 - 4:53 PM ET - by Albert Severino
Ed Boon updated his site with the November 2001 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly featuring the next-generation Mortal Kombat game. The cover says known info up to the date about the next MK game; it also says somthing like "Don't call it MK5" bacause Midway is only calling it "Mortal Kombat", that simple, but Ed Boon adds that it won't be the case, probably.

This section is about reviewing all available games of Mortal Kombat, something like Gamepro reviews, only mentioned it to have an idea; so, games got it ratings starting from 1.0 to 5.0, wich is the highiest punctuation to the graphics or anything that is reviewed at the same game: those ratings are based on my thoughts so if you do not agree just emailme whenever you want... Now, go and check it out, it might result interesting for you.

Welcome to the Definitive Mortal Kombat Gate!
Edited on Monday, September 17 2001 - 12:00 PM ET - by Albert Severino
Hopping you are enjoying this job I have just made with this site. I have being working on many websites (AMKD, AMKD spanish, MK5 Zone and MMK [news department]) since July 1999 'till present, but I got to admit it, this is the one with the greatest effort, speaking about getting crazy on "how it should look" and having to learn using proffessional software tools in the edition of HTML pages and the whole images around the site, caring about any single thing and hopefuly no broken links...
Please, send me your thoughts via email about the layout and your oppinion on the other sections, and speaking about sections, wich are placed on the left table of content, now lets have a brief description for the site's misc and community:
Message Board: the board is registered at Gamers.com, very important point to get when you come to this site, as you know you can post your feelings on MK, the site or any subject you want to discuss about; you have to register at Gamers.com to post new messages or reply existing ones, if you are previews registered you do not have to do it again.
EBgames MK Store: this site is affiliated with EBgames.com, one of the best online stores all around the web, wich is actually, we could say, the 100% trusty site to buy video games and other electronics, with ships in 24 hours. Now, the special thing is that here is a section here linking to all available MK games there, so, if you were planning on purchasing MK games online here is your opportunity, prices are really the lowest! You can also check links to all games and a search box to a special ones you are looking for.
GuestBook: not much to say about, 'cause you already know this, but for those who don't: you can acces it to sign with you name, email and website (if have), then leave a message expressing your oppinion of the site. Sign it!
Mortal Kombat Games: this one leads to a page containing links to all available guides of the franchise at this site, wichs actually are all; also at the left content table you can choose individually.

Allright, those are some sections, but there are also more, so check. Tell your friends about this site and lets support it to make it BIG!

New MK5 new Tease?
Edited on Saturday, September 15 2001 - 1:47 PM ET - by Albert Severino
It seems to be a new tease of next-gen MK game over at Noob.com, at least that's what could be. The "tease" was a Gamepro scan mentioning about MK5 game. Click the image bellow for a larger version over at noob.com.

Mortal Kombat 4 guide now up!
Edited on Monday, September 10 2001 - 7:00 PM ET - by Albert Severino
Finally, at last, the cover for all MK games of this site is a "work done" thing: now Mortal Kombat 4 guide is available here, sooner than thought, this guide contains all about Arcade Revision 3.0 plus home convertions for N64, Playstation and Windows 95.
Now the only thing that remains is the last touch, this envolves miscellaneous sections, but do not worry, most of them has been done since the beginning, it's just that I wanted setting them up with the final release for this site. I only have to decide how the enter should look like and setting a few sections that came to mind during the editions of this MK covers...

For now, enjoy the available content shown at the top!

Interview with John Vogel
Edited on Sunday, September 2 2001 - 11:57 PM ET - by Albert Severino
Planet Mortal Kombat team, made contact with John Vogel, character animator for MK5 and former background creator; they asked him a few questions about the next generation MK game, here is what they found:
PlanetMK: Jax seems to be extremely detailed, but he still has his old look. Are you going to give him new clothes?
John Vogel: Jax looks different (better) than in the pics released. He was updated recently.
PlanetMK: We like the way the characters are sculpted. What is the average amount of polys per character?
John Vogel: Average is probably around 6 thousand polygons per character. Some have more, some have less.
PlanetMK: It was confirmed that MK5 will be on all three next generation consoles. Are you going to use the speacial features each console has to offer? Or will it be the same MK for PS2, Xbox and GC?
John Vogel: The plan is to make each version special.
PlanetMK: You are the character animator in MK5. Can you tell us who performs the moves for the motion capturing?
John Vogel: Motion captured moves so far have been performed by martial artists, movie and TV stuntmen, and Carlos Pesina (Raiden).
PlanetMK: I guess it's useless to ask "who's in and who's out", but can you tell us how many characters can we expect in MK5?
John Vogel: I'm not sure, but at the very least 15. It would be safe to say there will probably be more than that, though.
PlanetMK: Thank you

· Thanks to PlanetMK for this.

Mortal Kombat 3 Guide
Edited on Saturday, September 1st. 2001 - 10:00 PM ET - by Albert Severino
Sorry if you wait too much for this one, but MK3 is a long game, and I didn't want just typing and/or pasting info; I edited myself must guides for this game, in addition the section is very graphical, like the ones before but larger and a litter bit more retuched: hopefuly UMK3, MKT and MK4 (the ones left) will be coming by Sunday through Tuesday (suggested to changes without previews advise), so, it's good keeping coming back here. For now, check the MK3 guide, it has all codes and secrets for all systems with this game, plus, many more.
